Teach music, dance and theatre at a private school in Guiyang, China!

We are looking for one teacher for a Chinese private school in China, which is run by a private organisation and is aimed at small groups of students that wish to have classes outside of public school hours. You will mainly teach music, dance and theatre. The classes will be conducted in English. Your work hours will be in the late afternoon, evenings and the weekends. You will have two days off outside of the weekend and you will enjoy Chinese public holidays, one week Summer holiday and two weeks paid annual leave. The students age ranges from 3 to 12 years old. The classes are relatively small, with 8 to 12 students per class. You can start teaching in August or September.

Responsibilities:
– Prepare and conduct music, dance and theatre classes
– Direct and coordinate school plays and the semester final show
– Contribute to short online teaching videos
– Actively contribute to marketing campaigns
– Conduct teaching training for teachers and other staff
– Assist in other teaching projects, such as language, drama and handicraft classes

Working environment
– 35 working hours a week
– No more than 25 classes teaching hours a week
– 5 working days a week, 2 days off

Benefits
– Monthly salary starting from 11,000 to 15,000 RMB (EU1436 – EU1958), depending on qualifications and experience

Requirements
– Bachelor Degree in Music, Dance, Theatre or related
– TEFL certificate or similar (or willing to complete a TEFL course)
– 1 year experience teaching children music, dance, theatre or similar
– Directing experience (preferably)
– Experience producing media (preferably)
– Available pieces of art to show the school, such as videos including music, dance or theatre, or other art objects (preferably)
– Open-minded towards Chinese culture
– Flexible, creative and patient personality
